Un paio di Converse – senza logo – prodotte per l’esercito americano di stanza in Vietnam tra gli anni Sessanta e i Settanta: peccato che la suola si sia deteriorata, e di conseguenza sia ormai impossibile indossare questo sorprendente paio di Converse, con notevoli dettagli all’interno della tomaia e talloni rinforzati. Probabilmente venivano usate dall’esercito americano per le esercitazioni, e dimostrano che non sempre i GI americani indossavano war boots. Stimiamo il valore di questo ritrovamento – nonostante le condizioni lontane dalla perfezione – in circa 200 dollari.

It’s no coincidence that he was the man who found this true gem. A pair of Converse – without logo – produced for the American army that was stationed in Vietnam between the Sixties and the Seventies. Unfortunately the sole is damaged, and consequently it’s impossible to wear this amazing pair of Converse, featuring remarkable details on the upper and a reinforced heel. They were probably used by the soldiers for the military exercise, and this confirms that the American GI didn’t wear exclusively war boots.
Our estimate is that the value of this finding might position around 200 bucks, although its conditions are far from perfect
